The Panel Quilt - Featuring Norwegian Woods

If you're looking for a quick fall project with bold images and colors, here is the quilt for you. With just a few panels and some coordinating fabrics from the Norwegian Woods line, this quilt practically puts itself together. The retro animals brighten up even the greyest days and the time it takes to make will give you plenty of reasons to eye that next project. ;-) What does the fox say? Easy, fun, and fabulous!
Supplies Needed:
1 panel, 4 images
1/2 yard each of coordinating fabric in turquoise, magenta, and pumpkin
1/4 yd. acorn fabric for inner border
3/4 yd. multi chevron fabric for outer border
Step 1:
Cut panel into 4 sections. Choose 3 of the images and trim each panel to 20 1/2" x 11 1/4".
Step 2:
Lay out coordinating fabrics. Decide which panel you want to pair with which coordinating fabric.
Step 3:
Cut each coordinating fabric into 3 strips:
    2 strips - 3" x width of fabric
    1 strip - 6 1/2" x width of fabric; then cut this strip in half
Step 4:
Add the 6 1/2" x 22" strip to the sides of each panel
Step 5:
Sew all 3 panels with borders together. Press.
Step 6:
Square up quilt.
Step 7:
- Cut 5 strips 1 1/4" x width of fabric.
- Cut 1 strip in half. Add each half to the 2 other strips.
   You will have: 2 strips 1 1/4" x WOF 
                              2 strips 1 1/4" x 56"
- Attach the two 56" strips to either side. Press.
- Attach the WOF strips to the top and bottom. Press.
Step 8:
- Cut 3 strips 5 1/2" x WOF
- Cut 2 strips 4" x WOF
- Cut one 5 1/2" strip in half. Add each half to the 2 other strips.
   You will have: 2 strips 4" x WOF
                              2 strips 5 1/2" x 56"
Step 9:
Sew 5 1/2" strips to each side. Press. Sew 4" strips to top and bottom. Press. Your top's complete!
Supplies to Finish:
Backing: 1 2/3 yard
Batting: 1 piece 45" x 60"
Binding: 1/2 yard
